The HCA Tenant Council is open to any tenant who lives in HCA’s affordable housing. It is led by a Steering Committee of HCA tenants — any tenant who is interested and has a little time to give can join the Steering Committee.
The Tenant Council Steering Committee coordinates the meetings and activities of the Tenant Council.
The first Tenant Council meeting was held in February 2024. At that time, the Tenant Council members finalized the following purpose for their group:
- Increase communication between tenants and create a culture that helps build community
- Address problems and issues so life in HCA’s homes can be better
- Create a safe, family-friendly space for tenants to find resources and opportunities to volunteer
- Expand and grow the voice for tenants at HCA
The full Tenant Council meets 3 – 4 times a year.
The HCA Steering Committee meets at least once a month. Some meetings are in person, but there is always a Zoom option.
Any HCA tenant who is interested in learning more or in joining the Tenant Council Steering Committee can contact Jackson: JHamilton@housingcorparlington.org or 781-859-5294 x6
